Welcome back to the History Nook.
Today, we’re stepping into the sandals (and war chariot) of one of Britain’s most legendary figures—Boudicca, Queen of the Iceni.
Best known for leading a failed rebellion against Roman rule in AD 60–61, Boudicca’s fury was born from grief, betrayal, and an unrelenting drive to avenge the abuse of her two daughters. Her story is one of rage and resistance, of thundering hooves and scorched earth, of a woman who refused to remain silent beneath an empire’s heel.
D&D Character Snapshot

You can download her full character below!
Roleplaying suggestions:
She’s honourable but fuelled by grief and rage
Speaks plainly and commands respect
Fiercely protective of the downtrodden, quick to fight for justice
Slow to trust—likely keeps a list of those who’ve wronged her
Dresses with intent: war paint, woven braids, and a torc that gleams like defiance
Leo’s Little Lorebite
Did you know? The Romans claimed Boudicca wore a golden torc, had hair down to her hips, and used a ferocious voice to rouse armies. In D&D terms? That's at least a +2 bonus to Intimidation and dramatic entrances... if your DM agrees.
If you try out our character sheet or have any suggestions, we'd love to hear them!
Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoyed your time in The History Nook today. Until next time, stay curious, and keep warm.

I too would rise in rebellion if my bowl were taken away. Long live Queen Boudicca, First of Her Name, Tamer of Romans, Friend to Cats.
