Welcome back to the History Nook!

Today, we’re doing something a little different—no artefacts, no obscure footnotes (well, not many). Instead, I’d like to officially welcome you to the History Nook Discord server.

I believe learning should be open to everyone, and in my own experience, one of the best ways to learn is simply… to chat. To swap stories, trade resources, and get delightfully side-tracked. That’s how the History Nook server was born—a space for like-minded history lovers and museum gremlins to gather. Here, you can gush over your favourite artefacts, share book recommendations, and wander down rabbit holes together.

Let me give you a quick tour:

🧭 Get Involved – Suggest ideas for blog posts, pitch future projects, or take on the Research Assistant role if you’d like to help hunt down details. 🔍 Behind the Scenes – Sneak peeks into current and upcoming projects… and, of course, adorable photos of Index in the middle of cat-related mischief. ☕ The Lounge – Our general cosy-chaos zone, perfect for conversations that meander like a museum tour with no closing time. 📚 The Library – All our resources in one place, from useful links to research notes. 🌍 Field Studies – Dedicated channels for different areas of history, from palaeontology to Anglo-Saxon Britain. 🌑 The Dark Side – For our 18+ members, where we explore the grimmer parts of history that aren’t to everyone’s taste.

You’ll also gain access to our custom Index emojis—and if that alone isn’t enough reason to join, I don’t know what is.

So, if you like your history served with cosy vibes and a side of digital cat (and let’s face it, if you’re here, you probably do), click the link below and come say hello.

🐾 A Footnote from Index: 🐾

Join the server. I run it. Signa thinks she’s in charge, but really I’m the one approving members. Bring snacks. Preferably chicken.
