Happy Wednesday, Nooklings!
I have some exciting news!
In a couple of weeks I will be heading back to my home museum - the one where my work in heritage all began - to celebrate their 150th birthday. I Will be spending the day wandering around the galleries (sword in hand) to greet visitors. Yesterday I was contacted to ask if a photo of my could be used in publicity for the event… I am SO excited!
I’ve been spending a lot of time working on my Viking garb, and I will go into more detail about it when I have some good photos to post on the blog. I only have one job left to do, and that is to restring my beads which will hang between my two turtle brooches. Once that is done I’ll be ready to take to the galleries.
This Week in my life
It has been a quiet week for the most part. I’ve been working on my 10th century garb, as mentioned above, and last night I went to see Wolf Children with my two favourite humans.
This Week in the History Nook
First of all, Leo has given you all a name! You are now, officially dubbed “Nooklings”. I think it’s quite adorable! On Monday I wrote a post about uranium glass, one of my favourite little curiosities. I also found out you can buy modern jewellery made from uranium glass beads… I am very tempted!
On Friday, I’ll be releasing another D&D 5e character sheet based on a historical figure. This time, it’s the turn of Cleopatra.
That’s all for this week, my loves.
Stay warm and stay cosy!
