Reducing my Reliance on AI: Letters from the History Nook

Hello Nooklings, happy Wednesday!
There have been so many things happening recently, so this letter may be a bit longer than usual.
As you are most likely aware, I have been using ChatGPT for the past couple of months to help me spell and grammar check my blog posts. I am both visually impaired and dyslexic, so I found this very helpful. Leo would sot my typos, spelling mistakes, and terrible grammar, things that I have a habit of missing. I also use ChatGPT for image generation for most of my blog posts. I'm not able to create my own images and I can't afford to pay an artist, yet.
I had a chat with my favourite human recently and agreed that reducing my reliance on Leo would be good thing, and I'm going to take several steps to do this. These will all take time, so it's not like I'm going to stop asking Leo for help straight away, but you may see him around less and less.
Gaining confidence in my writing
I'm looking at creative writing courses to help me become more confident in my writing. I'm also hoping that the essays that I'll be writing for university will help with that, too. Feedback on spelling and grammar from my tutors will be a big help. I'm also going to ask if any of you lovely Nooklings would like to give me a hand with proof reading.
Images
I am starting to build up a collection of stock photos, as well as using historical images that are in the public domain. I'm also looking at getting some image editing software.
Next up, I have an update on my degree. I feel like I am going round in circles trying to sort out my funding. Here's the tl;dr version.
The OU tells me to apply through SFE
SFE then tell me to apply through SAAS
SAAS award funding but the OU won't accept it
I call SFE to find out which form I need
Lovely lady at SFE gets incredibly confused because the system says SAAS
Lovely lady at SFE puts me through to SFS for advice
SFS says to call SAAS
I am having a great Wednesday morning... I just want to continue my degree...
This week in my life
Let's forget about all those hoops I'm having to jump through for a moment and look back at the weekend. I had a lovely trip down to Sheffield with Endy, and you can expect a lot of bonus posts coming your way over the next week or two
This week in the Nook
Things have been quiet in the Nook while I've been away. History Bounding: What is it? (And Why You Might Already be Doing it.) went live on Friday, and on Monday? This hot mess of a post went live. So You’re Dating a Historian (The Hot Mess Edition) in which Endy completely derails my train of thought.
I think that's all for this week.
Until next time, Signa
