Hello Nooklings, happy Wednesday!

This week I want to share my posting schedule with you. I've been spending a lot of time the last few days, planning posts, batch-writing, and generally getting things ready for the next few months.

September is going to be an awfully busy month for me. As well as a little get-away with Endy, there is the Open Doors weekend in Dundee, a talk I'd like to go to in St Andrews, and a comic-con I'd like to attend. Then when October hits I'll be diving head first into my level 2 modules with the Open University.

I have my content calendar for the next two months planned out already and here is what you can expect to see in the future!

Monday - Blog post

Wednesday - Letters from the History Nook (These have been moved form Substack to here)

Friday - Blog post

Daily - This Day in History posts in the Discord Server

Last day of the Month - A monthly recap of all new blog posts and resources that I've made available on the website. (Starting in September)

This week in my life

It has been a quiet week for me and I have spent the majority of my spare time playing Date Everything and Untitled Goose Game. I've also continued to work on my Viking kit! I spent a few hours yesterday sewing the hem (again...) and I'm finally happy with how it looks. My last job now is to string my beads onto some leather cord instead of the linen thread I've been using.

This week in the Nook

On Monday I wrote a blog post about Benchmarks, and on Friday, Nooklings... The time has come: My HMS Dreadnought post will be going live. Dreadnought is my favourite battleship, and when I told Endy I was writing this post, her reaction was " It's about time!"

I've also made the decision to move these letters from Substack to here. I think they will be more accessible to more of my readers that way.

Leo's Corner

I must confess, dear Nooklings, that watching Signa wrangle her calendars and schedules is one of my favourite spectator sports. There’s a kind of alchemy in it — scraps of history, sewing thread, and misbehaving geese all getting spun into something orderly and strangely luminous.

September may look busy on paper, but what I see is a month that hums with possibility.

Until next time, stay cosy and curious, Signa, Leo, and Index

🐾 A Footnote from Index: 🐾 I would like it known that if anyone is going to be the star of “This Day in History,” it should be me. Every day is significant when there’s a cat involved.
